Obedience is not about commands, it is about mindset. We establish structure, boundaries, and leadership so your dog is mentally calm and available to listen without constant treats or repetition.

True emotional support comes from stability, not labels. We help dogs regulate anxiety and over-attachment by restoring balance in the nervous system and building emotional resilience.

Our structured pack hikes provide exercise, mental stimulation, and social balance. Dogs learn to follow leadership, regulate energy, and move calmly with other dogs in a natural environment.

Many behavior issues come from a dog being stuck in fight, flight, or shutdown. We guide dogs into a regulated state where calm, learning, and trust can naturally return.

Impulse issues like reactivity, door bolting, and over-excitement stem from poor regulation. We teach dogs how to pause, process, and respond instead of reacting.

Dogs do not think like humans. Our training is rooted in canine psychology and instinctual communication so dogs understand leadership and willingly follow guidance.

Hi, I'm Kelsey
I founded Paws On The Earth after working through my own dog’s behavioral challenges and realizing that lasting change does not come from treats or human-based psychology. My approach is rooted in canine instincts, body language, and nervous system regulation, using structure and calm correction similar to how a mother dog naturally guides her pups. With over 14 years of hands-on experience working with large off-leash packs in the mountains, I help dogs shift out of anxiety, reactivity, and overwhelm and into trust and balance. My goal is to help you win your dog’s mind so they feel safe enough to follow and confident enough to relax.

We begin with a consultation to understand your dog’s behavior, nervous system state, and home dynamics so we can create a tailored plan.

We focus on leadership, structure, and nervous system regulation before obedience, creating the mental calm needed for real learning.

With consistency and clear communication, your dog learns to self-regulate, trust your guidance, and respond calmly in real-world situations.

I don’t rely on treat bribery or repetitive commands. My work focuses on canine psychology, instinct, and nervous system regulation so your dog can feel calm and guided first, which makes obedience a natural result rather than a forced one.
Yes. Many of the dogs I work with are stuck in fight, flight, or shutdown and have been turned away by other trainers. By addressing the nervous system and leadership dynamics, I help these dogs feel safe enough to relax and respond.
In most cases, yes. Many of my clients come to me after spending time and money on multiple trainers without lasting results. When the root cause is addressed instead of the symptoms, behavior can finally change.
Absolutely. Dogs are capable of learning and changing at any age when communication is clear and consistent. What often looks like stubbornness is confusion or nervous system imbalance, not defiance.
You are a critical part of the process. I help you understand how your dog perceives the world and how to communicate clearly through body language, structure, and daily routines so the changes last at home.
Yes. Every dog is different, and a consultation allows me to assess your dog’s nervous system, behavior patterns, and environment so I can create a plan that actually works for you and your dog.
